Desirée L. Parker-Smallwood is the CEO and founder of DLP Consulting and a well-known figure in the Western New York community. At just 21 years old, she made history as the youngest African American female Subway franchise owner. Over the past 30 years, Desirée has dedicated herself to empowering the Buffalo area—uplifting women, youth, and local communities through impactful speaking engagements and leadership.
Following the successful sale of her franchise, she went on to build a dynamic career in banking and finance for 10 years and held leadership roles in food service management for 15 years. She later expanded her expertise into hotel front office and accounting management, where she served for 5 years.
Desirée holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a certification in Hospitality, and brings a passion for business, accounting, and mentorship. She thrives on helping others succeed—whether through teaching, training, or strategic guidance—making her a powerful advocate and resource for entrepreneurs and organizations alike.
